Indian Wells Friday Preview


The top half of the quarter-finals at the BNP Paribas Open on Friday feature World No. 4 and last year’s finalist Andy Murray of Scotland against No. 6 seed Robin Soderling of Sweden and No. 7 seed Andy Roddick of the U.S. against No. 18 Tommy Robredo of Spain. In the first match, Roddick takes a 10-0 lifetime mark against Robredo, who is appearing in his first quarter-final here. Roddick looks to reach the semi-finals here for the fourth time. In the second match, Murray brings a 2-1 advantage against Soderling, who is making his first quarter-final showing here. All three previous meetings have come indoors. In the bottom half of the draw, No. 3 and defending champion Rafael Nadal and No. 20 seed Ivan Ljubicic are through to the semi-finals.
