Shakira and BEP Stamp World Cup


Johannesburg: Singer-winning international singer a Grammy Award, will pound the World Cup in South Africa. Shakira, Black Eyed Peas, John Legend, and Alicia Keys will share the stage with local artists and African artists on the night of the World Cup event in Soweto. As stated by FIFA Wednesday (17 / 3).

Among the leading African musicians who come to enliven the concert, including Angelique Kidjo from Benin, The Parlotones from South Africa, and Amadou and Mariam from Mali. "We are very pleased to present a major concert featuring artists as opening the first World Cup in Africa," said Secretary General of FIFA, Jerome Valcke.

The plan, the concert was held on 10 June and broadcast all over the world. While the performances are made at Orlando Stadium with a capacity of 30,000 seats with admission price USD 1.4 million. According to FIFA, the money generated from the concert will be donated to the "20 Centers for 2010", a project aimed to improve the health and education in poor communities across Africa.
